“Whispers Of The Past” Long ago lonely travelers passing through the Schell Creek mountain wilderness area would carve their names or draw pictures on the tree trunks of the sturdy aspen trees, along the way on their journey, just perhaps to let someone know that they passed this way once. The wild horse has traveled through the ages of time, they are still living legends of the West, they helped to settle the West and are part of our hertiage . I hope our wild horses do not become legends of the past. So we must still keep our faith strong and never let up in our efforts to keep them still free roaming on our public lands where they deserve to be!
