Band on the run in Antelope Valley, Northeastern Nevada. This is an incredibly beautiful wild horse herd, all colors which is rare in this herd management area, there are about 10 mares and several foals with the gorgeous stallion, whom I call Liberty. He was really pushing the mares hard as there was another stallion in the area trying to steal some of his harem away. I watched in awe photographing them, as he ran them about three miles until there was no sighting of the other stallion, they were safe until another day. It was such a rapturous feeling to see them galloping free as they were kicking up the dust and the sun was setting on such a glorious habitat for wild horses .
