Juana, my wild horse that I adopted from the BLM Triple B roundup this summer, she has been such a joy! She is about five months old now, her colors are starting to change, there are a lot of dark markings on her face. She has a really sweet disposition , a baby doll face and is so smart, she was loving the first snowfall of the season in early Oct, in Northeastern Nevada along with her faithful buddy my paint horse, Toby, he shows her how horses are suppose to behave, he is her big old babysitter.
Looks like a painting to me Jeanne. The colors, pose and story warm my heart! Bless you for the work you do…
Hi Kent , thank you for your wonderful comment, the vibrant colors in the sky, early morning light and crisp clean air on that Oct morning of freshly fallen snow were exhilarating, as I walked for quite a while with the horses in the snow in nature’s stillness, taking photos at every turn. I am sure you know that feeling of true peace in the wilderness.
Ahhhh Jeanne……she is gorgeous!!!!! And what a fab lad Toby is for showing her the ropes!!!! I am sooooooo happy that you have given her home!!!!! And…….I do look forward to seeing her next year!!!!!
Hi Sue , thank you so much, I think she get prettier everyday, but of course I am prejudice ,I know you will absolutely love her, she was one of the poor little foals who got separated from her mom during the helicopter chase during the BLM Triple B roundup , but at least now she has a happy home and lots of room to roam and as someone said she has Toby a great step-dad LOL to show her the ropes of being a domestic horse, but she will always be wild at heart!
