Abundance of Autumn’s Glory" As I was out enjoying a glorious Fall afternoon , much to my delight, I came across a herd of wild horses grazing peacefully on a hillside amongst brillant fall colors. I have never seen this herd before in the Schell Creek Mountain range of the Antelope Valley. There is one gorgeous cremello mare, two foals and two sorrel mares and a black stallion. They are so gorgeous and to find them in the midst of golden sage and fall colors with the light shining down on them was so breathtaking. I was in my element for sure and so happy to see them. Don’t worry I will be tracking this herd, it is close to where I live. Will post more photos of them later!
Love love the rabbit bushes blooming, I think that is what they are called. They smell so sweet, especially last week when I was up with my herd, it had just rained & all you could smell was sage & rabbit bush. Nice pic Jeanne :)
Hi Darcy , the bright yellow rabbit brush is everywhere,it makes just a beautiful frame for the wild horses. I too just love the smell of it after a rain, they should make a perfume from the smell of wild horses and sage, LOL I bet all of us cowgirls would buy it!
Just wonderful you were able to happen across these. Beautiful color combination.
Hi Donna, thank you so much, the high desert is so full Autumn’s color with the wild horses grazing in the midst of it all, it is an amazing time to be out photographing all of nature’s beauty!
