This was taken at Schellbourne, Nevada on June 12th, where they were celebrating 150 years of the Pony Express. Members of the National Pony Express Club do a reride every year from Sacromento,Calfiornia to St Joseph, Missouri along the same route that the original riders took and exchange the mail, the way it was done a hundred and fifty years ago. They carried what they called the mochilla {mail bags}filled with the letters of loved ones. The pony express only ran about a year, then the mail route ended when the telegraph lines started up along the same route!
