The Atomium is a structure in Brussels built for an exhibition in the 1950s. Its shape is that of an iron crystal magnified billions of times. Each of its orbs contains an exhibition space, and each of the connecting arms (like this one) contains a staircase or escalator.

    Katarina – like they say in Hotel California : “this could be heaven OR this could be hell”…!

    Alixzandra – thanks so much :) I ended up with quite a few staircase/escalator pictures that day, but the shapes and colors made this one my favourite.
