Your welcome Jean, art is often overlooked until the artist is dead. Then other people make big money from the artist without having to pay any to the artist. I hope to be really rich when I’m dead so I can hang around in all the very best places. Be even better if I was alive but hey I cant have everything. I know what you mean about people not wishing to pay. I get asked to do stuff & when I do & then ask for money they look in total amazement; ‘You want paid?’.
I was told that an image I created of a flower was nothing special. Average at best. It was printed, mounted, framed & signed. I asked for £35. I was told they could buy three framed images for the same price on any high street. Its true too they could. They just don’t get the concept when it comes to art. Your unique Jean & you know it, we just need to convince everyone else that we are. If they don’t get it that’s their loss not ours.

It’s great to hear that someone remembers my great-grandfathers works! He was an amazing artist, and also my grandmother. I didn’t had the luck to spent some time with Louis (he died before I was born), but the time with my grandmother was most wonderful and inspiring!
