Whirled Destruction

Jean LeBaron

Beachwood, United States

Artist's Description

This is an oil on linen painting popping with texture and color. It is vibrant, arresting, and filled with movement and emotion. I painted it after experiencing a hurricane, and couldn’t get the image of wind and rain damage out of my mind. I felt so helpless seeing the images of people left with horrific damage to their homes and property, and my heart went out to those who were left homeless or injured. I wanted to convey the human aspect of an awesome show of power by Mother Nature. This painting has also been described by viewers as an homage to autism, mental illness, depression, and on a lighter happier note, it has been described as a birthing process, and joyful dance. I hope you find your own special meaning to this painting! Please let me know what it conjures up for you!
This painting is framed in a narrow black metal frame to show off the bright vibrant colors and draw your eye to the figure. The original is for sale; please contact me for price and shipping requirements.
