The beautiful coastal area knows as Southerndown in South Wales. Just had a wonderful weekend with special friends including fellow Redbubblers Angela Barnett, Chris Miles and Douglas Latham. I have never laughed so much as when we were down here, fighting and determined to get some images, when the tide was friskier than a frisky thing and the seaspray was just driving us mad!

Oh and the sea won at one point…….and I was soaked, totally!!!!! Never stopped play though ;)

Canon EOS 30D, Efs 10-22 lens, Graduated filters, ND grad, Tripod and a LOT of lens cleaning! 13 seconds @ F/16 ISO 100.

Photography is my passion. I get a great deal of pleasure from this wonderful hobby. When the light and the composition come together at the same time, it’s as good as winning the lottery!

Glad you saw it through Jeanie, you can always dry out after a soaking as long as your gear survives intact. That light hitting the 2nd rock in the foreground just right of centre is the scene stealer and the colours in the sky are magnificent when set against that majestic cool blue of the water.

  • Thanks Stuart.. yes you are quite right of course… and I took the force of the wave, and the camera got away with it! There were two choices – try to run away and slip and break my ankle on the rocks, or stay perched and take the soaking… the latter was less painful. :)

Brilliant!! Was definately worth getting wet for! Besides, skins waterproof! Lol excellent capture Jeanie!

  • Many thanks Chris… Yup – once I was down to skin there was nothing more for it…. except to laugh – check out the photos taken of my dunking taken by a clever friend who saw it coming, and carry on regardless, hehe. :)
