Reflections of Sasha
This is a pastel painting of my niece, Sasha, at the mirror in my Mothers bedroom. I posed her so that I would be able to see her in both mirrors. I wanted to pose her in late afternoon to capture the warm light illuminating her. This painting is approximately life size. Painted on oversize Canson paper in deep blue color. Received the Vincent and Barbar Giffuni Purchase Award in the Pastel of America’s Pastel Only Show in NY, NY.

I was once told that I paint like a Pollock. (??) Well, let’s just say my painting
stinks. :-/ I can cook (like a chef) sing (like a canary) compose classical
music & scores (like Beethoven) but I cannot paint! You have such a gift with it.
