Feline Finesse

Feline Finesse

A photo of my cat, Belle. My daughter gave me a bouquet of sunflowers for my birthday and I decided to take a photo of them. As I was shooting the idea hit me to add Belle to the still life. To my amazement, she sat still long enough for me to get some shots. I did a little PS work to move her closer to the vase and added some textures to the bg, with PS brushes, for added interest. The eyes were also enhanced to pick up the greens in the foliage.
Belle decided to make our home her own a couple of Christmas’ ago. She showed up in our garage and I discovered her after our rescued dog, Skye, kept barking incessantly. She was not one bit scared of our dog and came right up to me despite all the noise. My husband decided to feed her and from then on she made our “doggy” door her own private entry. I was loosing my sister to cancer at the time and she gave me comfort with her snuggling up to me and purring contentedly. I said, “Thank you, God, for the Christmas present that you sent to me” And a good present she has prooved to be. No one claimed her and she has been spayed and declawed! God does know how to give a purrrrfect gift! (sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun) ;-)

beautiful, beautiful image … and beautiful story. I know the love and feeling of comfort a purring kitty can give. Where would we be without our furry family members?? Heavens … I feel like I found a gift in finding you. I have Corel 11 and a Wacom Intuos4 tablet sitting downstairs in a big box in my office … waiting for me. My birthday is Tuesday, a big one, and I’m intimidated. How lovely to find your work … you even include what brushes you use!!! Bless your heart for sharing not only the product of your gifts but the journey to these lovely products as well.

What a beautiful photo AND story. I was very touched by how your beautiful Belle has blessed your life. Why don’t you join Domestic and Pedigree Cats group, for I would love to post this one to our every growing collection. It was an instant favorite for me.
