Just a fact of life that happens everyday. Just another earthquake or tornado or hurricane or tsunami or fire burning through the upper floors of the twin towers on 9/11.

I watched it all happening that day from a block away.

Impossible to forget the shrill shriek of the second plane flying over my apartment building heading straight toward the north tower dear God please NO NO NO!!!

With the fire raging, strangers suddenly were holding hands before leaping from 103rd story windows, bodies tumbling end over end.

Now it’s almost seven years later as I look toward Ground Zero through my living room window. Despite the horror of that day, complacency has set in as the days between then and now grow farther apart.

How easy to forget that you or I could have been working in the towers that morning.

You and I sitting in our office calmly sipping a cup of coffee, then 10 minutes later we’re plummeting head first toward cement screaming why oh why oh why??
