The Standard Mill

The Mill, on the bluff east of Bodie, was one of the many operations that made the town thrive. The ground near the Mill is hazardous and fenced, limiting some of the locations from which to photograph the mill site buildings. I visited Bodie State Historic Park in California near mid-day. The many planes of the structure make lighting critical. This seemed to be the best of several efforts. The gauntlet has been thrown down, I plan to return and shoot the Mill again. A rare cloudy or rainy day in the high desert would be great for my next effort. Please look for future postings of the Mill.
