Mountain Living
This is one of the peaks in the Swan Range east of our cabin in the Swan River Valley. Beyond the peak is the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. It is early fall in the valley and the peaks can experience winter any day of the year as happened yesterday.

Jill, this brings back some great memories. I was born and raised in MT (Libby, Helena, Red Lodge, and Missoula), and used to spend a lot of summers in the Missions. I had my first encounter with an adult grizzly in the Bob Marshall. Beautiful composition and fantastic light. I like the layers in the image. The color and composition are very good here. You have the big 3 that the pros look for in a shot like this. The trees are the forground, The mt and clouds make up the middle and the clouds and sky make the back ground. A good piece to look at and learn.
