After the frost
This is a newly made scanograph that was subsequently manipulated and tweaked in PhotoShop. My intent was to use things not generally used to carry the feel of fall (such as colorful leaves), and yet still to invoke that familiar sense of autumn. After arranging multiple items on the bed of my scanner a number of different times, this is my favorite of the captured images.

JDNarts, I love the concept of capturing objects with the scanner and then manipulating them in Photoshop. (It’s a method I’ve employed in a few of my own images). You’ve done a fabulous job with this, and it certainly conveys a true Autumn feel. Beautiful work.
JDNarts replied
Thank you so much Elaine! And nice to meet another fellow scanographer; it is a wonderful way to create an image, isn’t it?

Ive only ever scanned materials and soft textural things because I’m paranoid of ruining my scanner but this is making me rethink the whole thing lol. Fabulous piece!
JDNarts replied
As long as you lay them on and take them off carefully, it works well. I’d avoid overly rough/heavy objects, but other than that the scanner does an amazing job!
Thanks Julia!
