I saw these birds flying high in the sky in most areas but to high to capture a image even with the strongest of lens when came the visit to the mountains my luck was finally in when I saw them perched on this tree…
Turkey Vulture is an excellent flyer. It endlessly soars with wings held in V-shape and teetering from side to side. It performs infrequent wing beats, taking advantage of raising thermals.
Wing beats and take off are laborious, but it soars very easily. It is able to glide during six hours without any flapping.
