Wild Munjack........
Munjacks are very small (about the size of a medium size dog)
The bucks have small antlers which shed annually and they also bear tusks at the rear of their mouth which are used for defending territory and self defense.
They are often referred to as the barking deer becuase of their distinctive grunts which sound like a small dog barking

Have you ever been to Bushy Park near teddington? Funniest thing I’ve ever seen. I was there in the birthing season and there is big signs up everywhere saying don’t walk your dog near the bracken as the deer have young in there…...so what do people ….do walk their dog near the bracken….as they do the stag and other members of the herd chase the dog and it’s owner….so funny to watch these idiots get their come upance, how I wish I had my camera on me.
jdmphotography replied
Lol that’s brilliant ! ha ha ha you see some people just don’t care and it serves them right and I’m pleased they got there come upance’ I have a woodland near by which says keep dog’s on leads at all times do they, no they don’t !!! Some just don’t have no respect for our wildlife It’s terrible…... Funny story Pete one for the wildlife then that’s cool I wish you had your camra too I would of loved to of seen that lol ….... (-:
