Ring-necked parakeet (England)
The UK’s only naturalised parrot – it is large, long-tailed and green with a red beak and a pink and black ring around its face and neck. In flight it has pointed wings, a long tail and very steady, direct flight. Often found in flocks, numbering hundreds at a roost site, it can be very noisy.
Found mainly in south-east England, particularly Surrey, Kent and Sussex.
They eat Fruit, berries, nuts and seeds.

Aw he’s adorable…I love the giant red beak. We have a lot of these over in the US Jon, I got to cuddle one of these at a pet shot that specialises in birds the other week. This and an Alexandrine Parakeet were a blast to play with. ;-)

Wow, just look at the way that neck is bent! What makes it even more amusing is when bending the neck the head is in the light.
