Bay Of Fires, Tasmania, Australia.
bay of fires
Wow. Love the depth in this one, John… both above the water and beneath :)
Thanks very much Mieke, was worth the early rise, what a way to welcome in the new day with this sort of scene.

Looks on Fire, bit like the prom? Great shot JD!
WOW – how come I didn’t ever visit here when we lived in Tasmania! Isn’t that always the way.Such an aptly named location, especially the way you have photographed it. Congratulations John, a perfect shot.
Thanks so much Sue. Think you could easily live in Tassie for a few years and miss so much hidden beauty, such a stunning place.
Beautiful shot and great capture of the colours
Thanks very much.

Thanks Mi, and yeah had a blast and can’t wait to get back.
Very beautiful John!
This is beautiful. What causes the “fire” around the rocks??
Thanks Al, the ‘fire’ on the rocks is a red lichen which I’ve only really ever seen (or know about) in this region and Wilson’s Promontory (which was of course linked years ago to Tassie).
This is fantastic John..it’s a beaut spot and those granity boulders are so very photogenic..crikey, you did get around..
Thanks Rob, certainly did the k’s in just four long days. Need to get back now to do it properly.
