This calendar is in dedication to the beautiful areas that are in real risk of fires within the outer regions of Melbourne.

Whilst we are able to enjoy the natural beauty of our most stunning landscapes, we need to remember just how volatile these areas are in the summer months where temperatures can range from the high 30’s to the high 40’s.

With climate change impacting on us in varying ways, like drought conditions causing timber-dry conditions through to floods in the northern regions of QLD. This puts our beautiful region at real risk of conditions which Victoria has suffered over the last couple of days.

I am offering all profits of any sales of this calendar to be donated to the Red Cross in dedication of those that have lost their lives and also to those that stayed to help protect this beautiful land of ours.

With over 130 people so far dead from this tragedy all I can hope is that this small donation can assist to rebuild lives in any way possible.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the families in these areas.

A wonderland of beautiful captures along with a timely reminder of the peacefilled landscapes and lovely structures which add so much to our Australian lifestyle……for those who , wonderfully have eyes to admire.
Magnificent is your heart and I commend you for your generosity. May we be as generous also
    My very best regards
    Colin and Belle

  • Thanks Colin, these areas were in direct line of the Churchill/Bunyip fires still burning in Gippsland. When we were in the area a week or so ago the fires had only just started unbeknown to us at the time. It frightens me to think of all the landscape, people and animals that have been affected by this tragedy and I think that any help we can give to this appeal is a small sacrifice we can make. I am still trying to get this posted so others can see and hopefully be encouraged to buy so as to assist the appeal. I am off to Horsham tomorrow to document the devastation from our fires and will probably put another calendar together to help out with their recovery appeal. My girlfriend, thank goodness, was one of the lucky ones. The Horsham fires turned just as it hit the fence line so their property still stands unlike many others.

Have not seen you on line for a bit so hope all is ok …. :))

Very beautiful Jennifer……will be very difficult to see the devastation – but good on ya’ for making the trek to document it. That needs to be done. Cheers!

  • Funny wendi, I got to the site and my batteries were flat, bugger, I will be back again on Thursday, Gee, it’s not a pretty site, looks like some homes just burned from the inside out. We lost 8 homes and the golf course club house. Amazing to see how strange it all is, some houses were left completely untouched and others right next door were taken out completely. You would not believe it unless you saw it for yourself. So surreal…

We’re relying on you, Jennifer, to document it all for us….. I’ve seen tornado sites and it’s like you’ve said, some houses are perfect and yet the ones next door are rubble…no rhyme nor reason. Take care out there! …..

    Congratulations Jennifer… :-D

  • Thanks rosie, sorry I didn’t respond earlier, am on a road trip to QLD and am now making our way back to Melb. Having a few car troubles but am still able to manage a few pics between the breakdowns. Keep an eye out in a week or so, they should be uploaded on RB by then…
