A lovely yellow field near the village of Drumoak in Aberdeenshire, overlooking the broad valley of the River Dee. There were two of these fields close to each other, both belonging to the same farmer. According to a local source this farmer had gone organic, but unfortunately that same source could not tell me the name of the plant. In mid-July and in Northern Scotland this was no colza, that is sure. Colza looks different anyway.
But what is it? My own guess is mustard. Still I wonder whether someone with more knowledge of European agriculture could confirm or contradict this.
