Here another winter memory, this time taken in December 2007 on a splendid hoarfrost morning on the grounds of the country-house Groeneveld near Baarn, a place where so many of my pictures have been taken. While various pictures from that morning have made it to this gallery, this one somehow had escaped my attention. Until tonight!
Looking at this picture few of you will realize that it shows a very special element of Dutch landscape architecture. There are no natural hills on these grounds. So both the lake and the hill are the product of human garden architecture!
