Another blue-morning shot. This time not from the forest area near Hilversum, but from the polderland west of it.
Actually this is not a river, but a canal, It curved course, however, suggests that it follows an old river.
Once upon a time this canal was a busy waterway, with cargo boats and passenger tow-boats coming along in great number. It connected not only the country-houses at ´s-Graveland with Amsterdam, but also the textile industry of Hilversum with the capital.
Now it is just a place of peace! And the traffic runs on the road on the dyke. Sometimes heavy traffic. Fortunately there were just a handful of cars so early in the day on Easter Monday morning. Their lights would otherwise have spoiled this picture.
