Two ladies riding out on the evening heath at Hilversum/The Netherlands. As you can see, we have very dry weather at the moment, which gave a very special effect of the dust and the light.

Yes. Almost Aussie dust, right there in the Netherlands! Can’t stop myself from repeeating how different this quiet, peaceful scene is from most of my memory of the country. It needs John Constable to paint this.

out here in aussie when it is dry everything is brown

I got a copy of The Hay Wain – Der Heuwagen! hanging on my wall and every time I look at it, it remained me of your work.
