I was lucky enough to come across this guy walking along the rim at the Grand Canyon South RIm, near Yavapai Point. I can only assume he stopped at this overlook to look for way back down into the canyon. I took a series of similar shots but I think this one turned out best. Shot with my Nikon D40 kit 18-55mm lens.
Desert Bighorns are considered an endangered species, surviving only in pockets of the American West. They can go for weeks at time with no water, and move about steep rocks and cliffs with amazing agility.
