This is how I shot – Chagrin Falls

It was actually a pretty cloudy day which I was kind of disappointed.
We just had a slight rain

My equipment I used was a Canon Digital Rebel XTI 400D 10.1 MP.
and a Sigma lens with a 300mm zoom.

I used a tripod I own a Dynatran Model AT-858 tripod with a ball screw head.

I do shoot these different ways. The way I shot this was

I set the camera to shutter priority mode
and start out by setting the TV(shutter speed) to 1/4 sec.

Then the camera can adjust and set the AV(Aperture Value)
I will sometimes shoot 10 or so shots with different TV settings going up and down in seconds. (all depends on the lighting situation)

Here were my settings.
Put the camera in Monochrome mode to shoot black and white.
TV = 1/10 sec
AV = 25
ISO = 400
Focal Length was at 41.0mm
White balance was set to cloudy all day on all shots due to the weather.

    hmm – you know what, Jeff? You just made me start to wonder if the reason I’m having so much trouble focusing on moving objects with my new camera is because of the wrong shutter speed…I will have to check it out! thanks!
