Saw this coming home from shopping, raced inside, grabbed my camera and hurried to the park behind our house. Shame I didn’t have time to get a shot away from the houses. :(Canon 500D18-55 IS kit lens.
jazzyjane, storm, supercell, park, rain, clouds, extreme weather
doesn’t matter…still looks cool…and besides, like the sub-urban look:))
Thanks heaps, Ralph. Nice to hear that. :))
That’s Beautiful, I’m still waiting for my first decent storm of the season.
Thank you heaps, and for the feature. Hope a good storm comes your way soon. :)
geez that looks scary. wow.
hanks, jaffa, great to hear from you. :)I couldn’t do the light or mood justice. It was so eerie and scary. We ended up with a heap of rain, but nowhere near what it looked like. It basically went around us, as they often do, here.
Wow….bet you were a bit scared of it too! Great capture!
Thanks Barb, it was really scary…but it was all a ‘front’, lol. Somewhere else got the worst of it. It ended up going past us.
Amazing Sky JJ….Fantastic shot and I like the comp with the houses in it…
Thanks John, it was so hard to get the eeriness of it all. I expected such a bad storm and it just went past us. I thought you guys might have got a bit more of it than us. My environmental scientist son, was very impressed with the pic. lol
What a photo! You’ve done a great job of capturing a once-in-a-blue-moon event. Love it!
Hiya, thanks heaps. It was so dramatic and eerie, then it all went around us…apart from a deluge of rain. Talk soon. :)
that’s really magnificient!
Thanks heaps, Geof. Much appreciated. :) (I corrected my spelling) :)
the houses help show how dramatic it is, great capture..where abouts was this..? :)) k
WOW ! Hope you ran for shelter as soon as you took this shot !!!
What an amazing sky!!
Thanks Nelson, it was incredile. I haven’t seen one like it here again, yet. Amazingly, the storm went around us and missed us.
