Dead Red Sledge by

This red sledge couldn’t take it any more. Now the snow was melting it felt useless and unwanted. It had been abused and had it’s heart ripped out.
I found it hanging by a blue cord from a tree in Temple Newsam Park

Of course..No time like the present Denis ..

  • I’ll think about it. With me a poem takes a long time to grow… a bit like a baby elephant!

The red sled has been put to bed…………..for the last time

I see you have a couple of big games coming up
boro away then whu home…. hope you win them both.
we are now unbeaten in 11 games
4 draws in the last 5 has slowed us up a little though
    cheers
    Mike

  • Actually it rose again and I found up the hill in a field. Trying to escape obviously… in vain I’m afraid.
Yes, two big games. The Warnock effect may produce a good return. He has tightened up the defence, but now we can’t score a goal! He is a great charecter though… when he is on your side of course!
