Upside Down and Inside Out by Jay Taylor

World gone mad – this is part of how I feel about you…

NOT an easy ‘birth’, this one – it nearly ended up in the dustbin several times over the last few weeks. But I couldn’t abandon the little ‘I’ over on the right, looking out at it all in bewilderment, and I am glad I stuck with it, as I am now really happy with the way it turned out, even though it IS upside down and inside out – World gone mad, this is just a small expression of the way I feel when I look at you…

Acrylics, oil pastels, graphic pens, coffee and collaged materials on A3 300gsm smooth cartridge paper. Original, mounted, £450.00 plus shipping.

An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!

wonderful abstract work, intrincately composed and balanced.

  • Thank you, Maraia – working this one out really challenged my patience and my ‘eye’: it almost got the better of me, but in the end I danced and wrestled it into something I’m very pleased with ;0)

A Simply Fantastic riot of mixed media combining our crazy life’s , adding up to a breathtaking abstract Jay , would look simply outstanding on a large large canvas … Sigh
