Day 168: November 22nd 2011: ‘Stump’

An impossibly weird and wonderful tree stump languishing by the River Thames in South Oxfordshire, England

In June 2011 some friends and I embarked upon a year-long assignment to take and upload one shot a day, every day, to facebook. You can view my 365 Day Portfolio as it evolves on the photography pages of my website at www.jaytaylor.co.uk

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3

(I see a definite figure in this one, plus faces in the gnarls and twists)

An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!
