Day 75: August 21st 2011: ‘Little Rascal’

CandyGirl in Liz’s garden – running away from the stranger with the even stranger one-eyed scary black box that makes weird sounds (i.e. me with my camera!) ……….. !!

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3, Lumix G Vario 14-42mm lens @ 42mm, ISO 800, f/ 5.6, shutter speed 1/60, my own (subtle, hopefully!) textures added in Photoshop CS3

An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!

Love this, Jay! And Candy’s white socks! :-)

  • Thank you, Susana – me too! A really lucky moment :o) I must confess that I spent awhile post-editing out a big, blurry plant in the foreground which was spoiling the whole shot and blocking the ‘LIT’ on the right of the boat – I just didn’t have time to move it at the time as Miss Candy WhiteSocks was definitely making a beeline AWAY from my camera…but I do think it was worth the effort as I just love the shot…
