365 Day Project 2011-2012: Day 10: June 17th
Spotted on the exterior wall of Christ Church College in Oxford – I walked right past it and then realised that I HAD to double back…
Despite all the glories that the City of the Dreaming Spires has to offer, this was clearly the ‘image of the day’ for me ;o)
In June 2011 some friends and I embarked upon a year-long assignment to take and upload one shot a day, every day, to facebook. You can view my 365 Day Portfolio as it evolves on the photography pages of my website at www.jaytaylor.co.uk
An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!

Thanks, Dot – it was one of those ‘double take’ situations for me…I mean, one might well expect a day in Oxford to yield something else than THIS…! but no, it was irresistible, and apt, and I love it :o)
