I frequently spend hours and hours working on paintings in my sleep, but I never remember what they look like when I wake up (exhausted!)
Two nights ago I awoke remembering a dream in which I’d found a case full of my own ‘forgotten’ paintings: there were about 20 in total, and they were all of a similar style – one in which I have never painted during my waking life…!
So I hastily grabbed a canvas and started work on this before the image faded…
It really does look a lot like the style of the paintings from my dream, and I really, really like it :-)

i am totally stunned. seems so different from your usual work..and i love it so much. you know what i love right? the BLACK!!!!! (and pink)(oh and the torn stuff)and the text and the white at the top left. yea but thats all.

Wonderful creation, Jay. I had the same thing happen when I first tried to write poetry. I was such a great poet in my dreams, but could never remember anything when I awoke! I wrote a poem about it! lol
