Artist's Description

I am constantly amazed by the life in what I have been ‘programmed’ to think of as death and decay, by the movement and activity in lifeforms which initially appear to be inert or inanimate.

For me, this image illustrates those processes beautifully: the silence is profound, the contrasts are balanced (like yin and yang), the connectedness and inception creep inexorably onward…

Right under my undiscerning nose, in the midst of the most ordinary and everyday, the most wonderful magic is at work…I was, and remain, delighted with this ‘find’!

Decomposing fibreglass with an impact point, window of a derelict public park building in South Oxfordshire, England
