An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!

I just noticed the link to this from your The Fallen capture.
This is lovely work Jay..Is that lace embedded into the paint or is it an impression?
I really like the effect there..lovely colours too.

Very beautiful flow to this, love you’r choise of colors.

  • Thanks, Diane – it’s a very warm and soothing piece to look at (I’m looking up at it right now, as a matter of fact – a good antidote to the glare of the computer screen, especially in combination with the tree I see to the other side of me!)

Nice title quote and colors in this intriguing abstract. I see the toes of an infant from the underside here, almost like one of those in utero captures. My imagination working overtime, but it goes with your title.

  • Hi Angie :o) One of my favourite quotes, actually… I honestly had never looked at those spheres as toes until you mentioned it, but I can totally see where you’re coming from :o) It never ceased to amaze me the things different viewers find in artwork: for me, it’s a big part of the fun of creating things – they have a life of their own, many lives, often – one for each viewer! and hearing about them is like discovering each artwork anew…
