“I’m becoming less defined as days go by;
Fading away,
And, well, you might say
I’m losing focus -
Kind of drifting into the abstract in terms of how I see myself…”

Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails)

Macro shot of whitewash ‘fading away’ on black paintwork in Oxfordshire, England (I see a lot of faces in there – owls, ghouls…!)

An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!

    Jay, please put a few words of description in the description box for
    Accidental Images. Thanks, my friend! I see in your tags that you see buildings. Nice nighttime cityscape!

  • Okie Dokie, Susana (apologies for seemingly always forgetting that you need that extra bit for AI…!) hugs

    It’s really a quite interesting textural piece, Jay. I like it!! S.

  • Thanks for the feedback, Susana – I really like this one! I just love the subtlety of the patterns, contours and colours…especially those ‘barely-there’ pewter blues at the bottom of the image…it’s probably a bit too subtle for a lot of tastes, but I’m glad you like it, too!

  • Actually, I’ve just realised that it may also be too subtle for some computer screens – it looks gorgeous on mine, but I am fortunate in having a fantastic screen at present…

    NIce detail Jay… would look amazing as a large mural ;-)

  • Thanks for the positive feedback, Andrew – this piece does look more amazing the larger you see it: the details really pop and the colours become more evident…
