Inseparable by Jay Taylor

This quirky little couple are part of a metal drain cover in my local park. I must have walked over or around them a hundred times before I spotted them!

An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!

I see two fish shapes looking at each other. What do you see them as, Jay? Animals? Dogs? Hmmmmmm….

  • they look like two little ‘tribal-style’ people staring at each other to me, with their hands interlinked…!

This is SO funky jay ! Trying even to imagine what the original pattern even was… what were they thinking when they designed this drain cover??
Anyways, that you spotted it and correlated it to a pair of soul mates is just too cool :-)
    Fabulous piece of work !!

  • Hey billyboy! :o) Great to hear from you! Thanks for this great comment – I’ll have to snap a ‘bigger picture’ shot of it for you next time I’m passing ;o) xx
