Ether: “a very rarefied and highly elastic substance formerly believed to permeate all space, including the interstices between the particles of matter, and to be the medium whose vibrations constituted light and other electromagnetic radiation.” Sounds about right to me :o)

An expressionistic, exploratory artist, I create without restraint or intent. I am a passionate advocate of natural learning, and this organic approach informs all of my work, giving my creations their vibrancy and spontaneity. An abiding love of nature keeps me going when my rather warped sense of humour fails. Above all, I reject the dysfunction and pain our culture perpetuates. More of the same is of no interest to me. I say “YES” to that which is life-serving: let a new paradigm emerge!

Very interesting. Like the shape and design

  • Thank you, Kay – I like it too, now (it almost ended up in the bin at one point, but about a half dozen marks later it redeemed itself… not the first, and won’t be the last, I reckon!)

Great to see such a fine new abstract from you, Jay. This just has amazing detail and wonderful patterns and “Jay-marks.”

  • Hi Frannie!!! :o) Thanks for stopping by and leaving me this lovely, supportive comment, and for adding this to your favourites, both of which have really made me smile :o) I am grinning ear-to-ear at the notion that such a thing as a “Jay’mark” exists – I love that idea! :o) xx
