Such a bad name for such a pretty fox.
You can see how she got her nickname, though. Look like a bad encounter with a coyote – she’s lucky to have escaped. Not only does she have a very obvious scar on her muzzle, she has very dark eyes for a fox.
She’s always been a very shy fox – previously I only saw her hiding in the brush. She’s a little less shy now, but still very cautious. She only made a brief appearance today.
She’s now the mate to the new alpha male. It’s just past fox mating season, so chances are she’s pregnant and will be giving birth sometime in April.
