I was out early searching for elk. When I got to Moraine Park, there was a layer of fog over most of the open area. The sun hadn’t quite reached up and over the ridge, so things were still pretty dark.
I tried to maneuver around to catch this big bull with the fog behind him, but just when I almost had the angle and the light, he moved into the trees.
The light was still pretty low, but I was able to catch his breath as he bugled.
