Territorial little buggers too, they are! LOL… What a poser… what a GREAT capture too…. sad about the climate changes however… sighhhh….

  • Jay Ryser replied

It IS sad. They’re very vulnerable to increased temperature, and they have no place to go but up, and soon they’ll run out of up. The only way to migrate to a new peak is to go low enough the temps would do them in.

(Just me again… had to come back to add more to your reply… ) :( That is soooooooooooo sad… sooooo many critters that live at altitude and in colder climates that are being effected by global warming…. :( Depressing for sure… sighhhhhh…. makes one’s heart truly go out….

  • Jay Ryser replied

I’m dreading the day I can’t find any marmots or pikas. I’m afraid that’s going to happen sooner rather than later. On a positive note, I saw a LOT of marmot babies today – they’re just so jast running away it’s hard to get a picture!
