AEC Matador – No Bull

AEC Matador – No Bull – Yarramalong

Had a beaut day out with the wonderful ozzzywoman, Jason the s-i-l, The Tin Lid, and the gorgeous Spike.

We certainly gave this old AEC and its derrick a hammering. It was a cracker of a truck though. One with a noble history of hard work well done.

It looked as though it was enjoying its well earned rest and, I liked to think, was pretty chuffed at the attention that we were giving it.

Thanks for a top day Mandy. It was simply the best. I look forward to many more.

Great find, love the light under and through the windscreen! LOL at avoiding the lensbaby :)

  • Thanks Mel, very much appreciated…
I was lucky with the light. The gathering was coming to an end and we were packing up when I noticed that the sun was doing this very neat trick.
And the lensbaby comment.. :-D … Us HDRers have to have some amunition to defend ourselves against our detractors.

I often do that, come back after all the packing up has been completed, cos the light is JUST right! As for HDR, there’s a very popular photographer over at lensbaby.com who does the most amazing HDR lensbaby images :) You can run, but you can’t hide….

  • Ooopps… I’m just ducking under my desk now … :-)

heh….I love the fact your HDR is’nt over the top….the subtle touches are just enough to make the image come alive :)

  • Thank you. I’m still trying to find my feet with HDR. I don’t like it when it’s toxic, but then I have seen some very obviously HDR images that really work.

Very nice. The fact that it is an AEC makes it even better

  • Thanks Hertsman… bit of an AEC fan are you? … :-) This one certainly earned its admiration.
