Front cover of my novel, The Naked Ghost, published May 2011. This is my fifth book, but it’s my first novel – the others are moldy oldy non-fiction long out of date. Who said obsolete?
I created the cover image by layering two photographs, so that one is “modulated” by the other. The intent is funny-creepy. Not entirely creepy, since the ghosts in the book are mostly pranksters, and none too scary. Mostly. The top photograph is a scan from a 1970s B&W shoot on actual film of a male nude. I Photoshop’d the other one from a recent (2011) shot of an old building. It’s abstracted and cropped severely, as I only wanted a non-realistic suggestion of a building.
The Naked Ghost is now available in paperback and electronic editions. The ISBN (for paper) is 978-1-879211-01-8 – available here – and Amazon’s ASIN for the Kindle edition is: B00522VEME. ePub and other e-book editions are available on Smashwords . For other excruciating details, see my blog

Congratulations, gay ghosts are a great idea. Do they beautify and color coordinate the house too?
Definitely. It was their fancy house before they got shall-we-say ghostified. One plays the piano at odd times – torch songs and Rachmaninoff – and another one poses as a white ceramic cat that purrs when touched. I’ve installed four mischievous ghosts, total, but these are the main ones. Thanks for commenting. -J:

Looks a great book cover for an interesting and entertaining book!
Thanks loads. I wanted the cover to be ghostly, but not too much, as well as intriguing and inviting. And abstract, since the subject is ghosts after all. -J:
