A skylit stairway at Columbia High School near Columbia, South Carolina, photographed for the architects in the late 1970s when the building was new. The original image is a Kodachrome transparency, which I copied to Ektachrome copy transparency film in order to correct for mixed color light sources. Canon F-1, Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens, available light from mercury vapor lamps, diffused daylight, incandescent potlights and (gack!) fluorescent tubes. Just need a few candles and some neon to make a real lighting color mess. The resulting weird color shift is visible in the purplish cast of the skylight area. Scanned from the original Kodachrome, not the duplicate. The Kodachrome faded somewhat over time, and this scan corrects for that, too.
