This interiors consultant’s suite in the 2221 Devine Street building near downtown Columbia, South Carolina, had a spectacular view, a bragging point for the building’s design. I photographed the building for the architect in the 1970s, shortly after its completion. It still stands, little worse for wear, though my film originals have suffered greatly at the hands of time. Calumet 4×5, Wollensak 90mm lens, mostly available light, with the added fluorescent under-counter and some daylight-balance photofloods as fill. Scanned from a color negative.
