Control Panel
Turn the knob and make something happen. Or not. I found this intriguing panel in an abandoned cotton mill in the Olympia section of Columbia, South Carolina. Available heavily overcast late afternoon daylight. I added about 60 percent of a tonemapping filter to make the textures pop, and hand corrected the digital camera’s blue fringes at contrasty edges.

Aaaah. Appeal to the “gadget-minded” viewers. Cool shot. I love trying to figure out what things like this do (did).

This was in a pile of rubble in the mill’s “electrical shop.” I couldn’t figure out what it was for, but whatever it did it looked way cool doing it. -J:
