A commercial and fine-art photographer, Jay Gross is a freelance writer with seven published books to his credit. His writing and photographs have appeared in numerous national and international publications, and his photos have been shown in group and solo art shows around the midlands of South Carolina. Jay’s photographs cover decades of shooting and a variety of styles and genres. He’s covered all the standards, indulged all the stereotypes and moved on, although he can be tempted by spectacular sunsets, footprints in sunlit beach sand, and just the right glint of light on something totally silly. Or profound. You could call him a generalist or maybe some other choice names, but remember name calling is uncool.
Jay mostly likes photographs that state their business without too much unrelated information. The collections here explore many of Jay’s favorite themes, but lots of his images don’t fit neatly into any category, so those are rounded up in the “all of the above” list.
So, browse around, sip the virtual wine, sample the virtual vegetarian finger food and enjoy the artworks – and feel free to comment.
