First and foremost I am a husband and a father to 3 children, we also have 2 dogs so live very full and hectic lives.

I have been light painting since September 2010. I decided to purchase a DSLR after the birth of our 3rd child and only intended this purchase to be for taking better quality photos of the family. It wasn’t until I took delivery of the camera that I started to look into how to use it. It was then that my passion for photography started to grow. I had never realised what a powerful tool a camera could be and the idea of being able to control all the settings of the camera to create the image you want really appealed to me.

To my surprise I found that I really enjoy the challenge of trying to find interesting shots and the peace and tranquility of night photography. I like all aspects of photography and as the majority of my free time is at night this has become my canvas, but I hope to expand my genres with time.

All the images shown on this site are taken on a single exposure and apart from some brightness and level adjustments there is no photoshop manipulation. I use a range of LED lights and torches to create the images.

More of my work can be seen at either my website or my flickr stream. Please mail me if there is work on there that you would like made available on redbubble.

Many thanks for stopping by to have a look.

I have only dropped into redbubble in the last few days and I sore this journal feature and thought it would be ideal for this. / Firstly I make a light string. I make these with a battery pack and a length of cable connected to a bunch of colour…
