Old Hat
I realise that most of this is old hat now – but I’m still really bummed majority of my images have been ‘canned’ and are no longer up for sale due to the new criteria. Having shot for some time in a smaller size format means that most of my images cannot be manipluted to meet the new requirements.
I can however say that after having been at opening night and seeing the higher res images in living colour; I can appreciate what you are stiving for. But unfortunatly my 6MP camera is no longer going to cut it for anything bigger than small =(((.

Jaye, it is I know distressing. The next product release will have greeting cards and postcards which can deal with lower res images and you have lovely work which I think would work well in this format.

Bummer about your old photos, but small will still sell… and they will still look great. Lucky you got to go to the opening…

I agree Jaye – it is limiting – all those years here we were as consumers being told that we can blow images up as big as we need to – the bigger the megapixel camera the bigger we could go.. “as big as you want” the camera shops would say…
I think it is only now the truth is coming out – well I have only just found it out..
Who can afford to upgrade their camera every 12 months to keep up with the trends ….or even to be able to ‘print’ the shot any bigger than 8X10. Not me, not most people I even know.
Is it that we are being pushed out of the game?
DO we need a pro camera to be able to sell our images on RedBubble?
SOrry for ranting on your post

No problemo Jodes – I enjoyed the rant and I whole heartedly agree. I haven’t even had my camera for 12 months!
Pilgrim, unfortunately for me greeting and postcards seem like such a consolation prize. Especially after seeing what the framed prints looked like in the exhibition.
Thanks Georgiegirl – it just seems a shame, if some one wanted a bigger image, my shots would get overlooked. Opening night was fun =)
