Taken in Quebec, Canada

This is a compilation photograph I created in Photoshop. The Bull Elk was removed from a photograph using Topaz Remask 3 and placed on a cloud background which I had created before. To give the illusion of greater depth I applied a Gaussian Blur to the cloud background to put it out of focus. Once I had the two photos together I flattened all the layers and applied Niksoft Colour FX (graduated Fog filter) to add an air of mystery.

It’s nice to try new things in photoshop.

A very cool compilation Mike and one of the better ones I have seen with a nature image. Nice depth and mood…..

  • Thanks very much Gary, BTW, where have you been. I haven’t seen you in the field in months

Wonderful, Mike! You lost me at “the Bull Elk was removed…” I really need some PS lessons!

  • Thank you Aunt Dot. Take a look online on how to mask an object and remove the background. I use Topaz Remask 3 to do this but I belive there is a way to do it in photoshop as well.
